Biography

The North East of England is beautiful, thriving with ambition and colour.

I live in Newcastle, and I have started this blog to demonstrate how I see the world around me, my focus on people and their taste in style. So many characters I encounter, and the pride they have in themselves.

Over the past 4 years, I have been working as an import merchandiser dealing in High Street clothing. This has involved me following trends, attending trade shows, meeting clients, discussing their needs for next seasons collections. It is great to be at the forefront of the commercial fashion world, constantly learning about the nature of the industry. However whilst it can be exciting to plan ranges months ahead for next seasons collections, there are people who are steps ahead of the designers and buyers, and they are accessible to me. They are the everyday people on the street. The people who enjoy dressing creatively, who have fun with clothes. These people are truly exciting as they ignore the commercial trends and create something truly unique.

I was born in Ashington, and brought up on the north east coastal town of Blyth. I completed a Fine Art degree at Staffordshire University specialising in Photography. I also spent alot of time performing in a variety of shows spanning over 10 years of amature dramatics. After having graduated, still unsure as to what I was good at, I headed back home and began a Fashion Design course in Newcastle. My love of photography has always remained within and now I find myself here with a wish to share my eyes with you. I hope you enjoy the blog.
